Privacy Policy

ServeVolley ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application that helps tennis players track trainings and matches, discover rankings and news, and find partners. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Data We Collect

  • Account data: first name, last name, gender option, NTRP level, email, password (stored by our auth provider).
  • App usage data you submit: training and match records (local on device), partner requests and chat messages (cloud), preferred language and settings.
  • Device data: basic technical information such as device model and OS version may be collected by platform frameworks for reliability and diagnostics.

How We Use Data

  • Provide authentication and maintain your account.
  • Store user profiles and partner requests to enable discovery and chats.
  • Display rankings and tennis news content within the app.
  • Improve app performance, security, and user experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Where Data Is Stored

  • Local Device: training/match journal data and selected language are saved locally using @ionic/storage. You can clear these records from the app or by reinstalling.
  • Cloud: authentication and user profiles, partner requests and dialogs are stored in our cloud database (e.g., Firebase Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database).

Legal Basis

If you are in the UK/EU, we process personal data based on: (i) performance of a contract (providing the app features), (ii) legitimate interests (security, improvement), and (iii) consent where required (e.g., optional notifications).

Retention

We retain cloud profile and dialog data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account; we will remove cloud data subject to legal/operational requirements. Local data remains on your device until you delete it.

Children

ServeVolley is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age required by local law). Do not register if you do not meet the minimum age.

International Transfers

Our cloud providers may process data in multiple countries. We rely on appropriate safeguards for transfers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Your Rights

Subject to your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email above.

Third-Party Services

  • Firebase (Google): authentication, databases, hosting. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Capacitor plugins: access to device capabilities (e.g., Browser, Dialog) as invoked by you.
  • Ionic/Angular: UI framework libraries which do not collect personal data by themselves.
  • External news/ranking sources: we may link to third-party sites; their privacy practices apply when you visit them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective date” above and, where required, notify you in-app.
